Eligibility?

In order to be considered for this program, you will need to meet a few different qualifications. The following is required to be considered eligible for the Georgia Physicians For Rural Areas: Student Loan Assistance Program:

  • Must commit to practice medicine for a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • You must work in a county that has fewer than 35,000 residents
  • You must participate in the Medicaid program and actively treat Medicaid recipients.
