Need help finding your servicer?

There are a few different ways you can find out who your student loan servicer is:

  1. Check your credit report: You can request a copy of your credit report from the three major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) to see which companies are listed as servicing your student loans. Keep in mind that you are entitled to a free credit report from each bureau once per year.
  2. Check your loan documents: Your loan servicer should be listed on any documents you received when you took out your loans. This may include your promissory note or other loan agreement documents.
  3. Contact the Department of Education: You can call the Department of Education’s Loan Consolidation Information Call Center at 1-800-557-7392 to find out who your servicer is. You will need to provide your name, Social Security number, and the name of the school you attended when you took out the loans.
  4. Check your online account: If you have an online account with the Department of Education, you may be able to see your servicer listed there. You can create an account at the Department of Education’s website by going to studentaid.gov and clicking on “Sign In” in the top right corner.

We have a comprehensive list of student loan services your can find here.
