Herbert S. Garten Loan Repayment Assistance Program

Through the Herbert S. Garten Loan Repayment Assistance Program, qualifying attorneys who are selected for this program may qualify for up to $5,600.00 per year for up to three years. Eligibility?

In order to be eligible for the Herbert S. Garten Loan Repayment Assistance Program, you must be employed by one of our grantees and meet certain requirements, such as having a total outstanding debt of at least $75,000. You must also use the money that is granted to you for qualifying law school loans and the respective interest for these said loans. This program is done via a lottery system and each year there are up to 70 attorneys that are selected. This number may vary from year to year depending on the funding levels of the program. As stated previously, if you are selected you have the potential of collecting up to $5,600.00 per year for up to three years.
