Arkansas State Veterinary Loan Repayment Program

The state of Arkansas offers a few different student loan repayment programs for various career verticles. The specific program we will be covering today is the Arkansas State Veterinary Loan Repayment Program. This program is tailored to out-of-state veterinary medical education at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. The program was thought up in order to provide benefit to Arkansas residents and to also assist student loan repayment for qualifying institutions.

Eligibility?

Participants in the loan repayment program are required to practice food supply veterinary medicine in Arkansas for up to five consecutive years. Pursuant to the program, the “practice of food supply veterinary medicine” means a corporate or private veterinary practice with a minimum of thirty percent (30%) of the practice devoted to food animal medicine or mixed animal medicine located in rural areas. How much should be expected through his award?
